Wraith wrote: Thu Jun 17, 2021 8:20 pm A smirk from Wraith at that. "<Suimasen>," is her terse but amused reply. "Any place that has a weapon check, though," she adds leaving it at that, though with a slight grin of her own.
"Only so many places to put a weapon too," Shrike shrugs, "we need a vehicle for this sort of situation, store some weapons. Hate getting caught short!"
Wraith wrote: Thu Jun 17, 2021 8:20 pm The foxelf nods, then coughs against her hand, the furred ears folding back. "Ahh, light pistol here," she admits, sheepishly. "I do not make it a habit to hang out in bars, I have no idea what the etiquette is!" Wraith adds in a whisper as they head out onto the street. Forcing her foxears upright, she glances around casually but making a point to include the crowd in the survey. "<Shikatanai>?"
"Keep moving, you can generally get away with a heavy pistol if you conceal it. Anything bigger gets frowned on generally, though you get the odd place. Usually those are in places where not carrying enough firepower to sink a battleship is an invitation to be attacked." Shrike's demeanour as they step outside becomes all business and military professional.

"Keep in contact people and give me a rendezvous. Don't immediately rush to the vehicle. Might need to trigger a trap first. Protect the principal and I will be there shortly."

He keeps moving, keeping an eye out for trouble that's looking for them and trying to remain under the radar.

Wraith wrote: Thu Jun 17, 2021 8:20 pm Upon arriving at their destination, Wraith positions herself to get a decent view of the area, waiting for Shrike to do whatever he needs to do with his vehicle.
Provided they reach Shrike's bike without any trouble, he quickly checks it over, making sure it is clean with no traps or explosives.

Provided it's clean, he gets on his bike
"Hop on. With everything going on, I doubt they'll be stopping anybody for a helmet violation."

Bushwack

There is a weird silence for a moment as Bushwack's words sink in. Rude's snort, clearly directed at the ganger's response, causes the silence to rupture. Thankfully Bushwack had laid a careful verbal trap for the punk, and his crew. The only way for the chump to save any face at all was to attack without hesitation. He doesn't hesitate. He attacks.

Consider this as a "duel" not a full fight. For simplicity, roll one attack roll for Bushwack, one defense roll.

Shrike, Wraith, Mulpa, Tulpa, MacFear

The group moves cautiously north up the alley. Coordinated, the team breaks off: Shrike and Wraith head for rides; Mulpa, Tulpa and MacFear keep tight with Hoffner's crew.

Wraith and Shrike make it out of the alley. The motorcycles check out okay.

Towards the end of the alley, the Mulpa on one side, Yu on the other, scope out the street ahead. There are plenty of people and cars, but all of it is slowed down do a degree, but this street is at least moving.

To Wraith and Shrike some things do pop out, maybe because they are at least elf-adjacent, but posers are posers and there are four posers milling around with the tail end of the Ancients group. They ARE elfs, but clearly (at least clearly to Shrike and Wraith).

Mulpa notes that across he street movement on the roof, but no other detail is apparent. On hearing his plan, Yu says to Mulpa, "This is why we hired local. Proceed."

MacFear, Tulpa, Hoffner and the rest of her crew keep in a tight group, watching closely north and south. A few orks and trolls meander into the alley at the south and then wander back out into the flow. No one enters from the north though, just the flow of people going back and forth.

Bushwack true to his word lets the opposition throw the first two punches before he retaliates.
Note
please remember -1 to hit because of troll reach
first dodge roll
25d6>4: [ 4 4 6 2 1 2 1 3 1 3 1 3 2 6 5 1 3 5 5 6 4 6 4 3 6 ] = 8
soak=30
second dodge roll
24d6>4: [ 1 2 2 4 5 6 5 6 2 1 5 4 4 4 3 4 6 2 6 4 5 4 2 5 ] = 9
soak=30

And then retaliates
casts: fist !
15d6>4: [ 1 6 6 4 5 3 3 2 2 4 4 3 2 4 4 ] = 3
post edge
12d6>4: [ 5 5 2 6 6 3 2 4 3 4 2 5 ] = 5
Note
reach is already accounted for in the 15 dice opponent dodges with full dice pool
So 8 to hit Base damage is 13 since I am using the cyberarm but not the spurs, also I use sweep so that damage in non lethal and its stun damage regardless of his armor.

Giving the bike a quick once over, Shrike is satisfied that nobody has boobytrapped it. Least they haven't planned for us which is a good sign.

Shrike gives them the look over to figure out what they want.

If there is no sign of trouble, he turns to speak to Wraith
"As long they aren't a problem, ignore them. If they follow us, let them. Draw them into the ambush that the others are about to trip."

He hands his pistol to her
"You'll have hands free for this. Hang on and despite the lack of helmets, I think the Star are going to be a bit preoccupied."

With that, he gets on the bike and when Wraith climbs on, he sets off towards the rendezvous on his bike.

MacFear simply follows orders. @Mulpa's plan seems sound, so the fomorian says as much and follows along. The lawyer hasn't forgotten all of his street smarts. He follows a long with his pistol at the ready, but not pointed towards any of the people he wants to stay alive. He keeps his

and follows orders.

In a way, its nice to get out of the office and let loose. MacFear had forgotten how danger can really get the blood flowing and clear the mind. He's no adrenaline junkie, but he can appreciate the experience nevertheless. Doubly so if he's getting paid for the experience.

When targeted by a spell (including a critter’s Innate Spell), the character is harder to affect. This potent ability makes casting both benevolent and malevolent spells on these characters much more difficult. The character adds 2 dice to their resistance test against any spell. If the spell is one that is not normally resisted (such as Invisibility), the character still rolls their Arcane Arrester dice pool of either two dice and reduces the hits rolled on the Spellcasting Test by any hits they roll. For instance, if a mage casts Invisibility on a character with Arcane Arrester 1 and gets 4 hits on a Spellcasting Test, the target character rolls 2 dice and gets 1 hits, meaning only three of the hits on the Spellcasting Test are used to make the target invisible.

Accepting the heavy pistol, Wraith tucks it into her jacket after seeing if she can connect to its smartlink, if it has one. Fortunately, the foxelf is ambidextrous and is confident that she'll be able to deal with threats, even on the move. Perhaps, overconfident!

"Agreed, no need to draw attention or stir up trouble if we don't need to," the younger elf replies as she climbs up behind Shrike. After tucking her tail across her lap, so that it doesn't get tangled in anything moving, she grasps his jacket carefully. "Ready to go."

Bushwack

The wannabe gang leader is a tough guy. People are scared of him, and rightfully so. He's strong and mean, and just the right side of dumb to seem smart to his buddies. But, all that being said, he's no monster. He's street tough. Not combat monster tough.

So his very respectable haymaker directed upside Bushwack's noggin has force behind it to smash a CMU wall. It's just a love tap though to the big ol' burned out badass that is Bushwack. The gang leader (in training, optimistically) doesn't break his hand, but his spirit is totally destroyed. Love tap was not what he was hoping.

The guy is still tough though, so when Bushwack retaliates, he doesn't die. He takes the hit, staggers against the damage, and plops onto his butt, eyes a little crossed. He gets to his feet again, quickly enough to not be utterly shameful. He spits. He curses. He turns his ire to the Ancients. The entire troll and orc horde is filled with bloodlust and the urge to murder. They just witnessed the raw and awesome power of the trog army and it lit them on fire.

So, as you might imagine, things got really ugly.

Shrike, Wraith, Mulpa, Tulpa, MacFear

Shrike and Wraith are crossing the street, and notice the faux-Ancients' gaze upon them, but then all holy hell breaks loose. A wave of trolls and orks in murderous rage crashes upon the Ancients, faux and authentic. It's a bloodbath. The elves are generally quicker and more skilled, but the strength and fury negates every and any edge that they have. In minutes there is literally elven blood scattered all over the block.

It's a good distraction though...

For the main group, they hear the noise, the primal roar, but are spared the visceral visuals of elven gangers being torn apart.

The movement Mulpa spotted resolves itself into a horrified looking corp elf type. They have two small drones hovering beside them. They had been ducking behind the parapet, but the noise caused them to stand up in awe. They are watching the carnage in horror.

@Mulpa over Comms

"Snap a pic of him , maybe he is a known quantity to our employer and of interest to her"

To Rude

" Seems like we are minutes away from the what the media will describe as "Lone Star intervention", when we are here when that happens we are going to Seattle Penitentiary on account of being trog and supporting some light cyber. Through the elves seems like an easier prospect than through the orks to be honest."

Bushwack starts and revs up his trollhammer.

"Now I regret not paying for optional windscreen wiper. Its gonna plastered with pieced of elf innit. Did I tell you I once tried as a kid for the junior Tacoma Timber Wolves. I always forgot about the flag. "

Instead of trying to dodge the combatants Bushwack focuses on keeping a speed high enough to keep the bike upright when is ramming and ploughing through.
